The mission of the Annual Faith Leaders luncheon is to provide an opportunity for senior pastors, students, ministry professionals, laypersons, faith leaders, influencers, business leaders and the larger community to prepare and connect with faithful leadership in Christian ministry. Attendees an opportunity for critical reflection and an experience the most gifted and cutting-edge leaders. Each leader is committed to formal and informal theological reflection with persons whose faith influences and shapes the good of both the Church and the world.
Senior Pastor of St. John Church
DR. DENNY D. DAVIS
MASTER OF CEREMONIES
Pastor Denny D. Davis, Sr. is a pastor with conviction, integrity, and a big heart, who has been shepherding the St. John Church for 27 years. Since assuming the pastorate position, St. John has grown exponentially, both spiritually and physically, with more than 12,000 new members and over 80 ministries within the church. Pastor Davis received his Bachelor’s degree in Religion with a minor in Business Administration from Bishop College. During his college years, Pastor Davis was the President of the Minister’s Lyceum and was heavily involved with many churches in the Dallas community. Pastor Davis continued his educational pursuit and received his Masters in Theology from Brite School of Divinity at Texas Christian University. Pastor Davis has also been the recipient of four honorary Doctorate Degrees and also done advanced theological study at Baylor and Oxford Universities.
Senior Pastor of Concord Church
Bryan Carter serves as the Senior Pastor of Concord Church and is the lead staff member of our 9,000 member congregation. He is also committed to serving the community and the city of Dallas, and is currently serving on the boards of Impact Dallas Capital and Frost Bank Dallas. He leads Harmony Community Development Corporation (LINK), an organization committed to improving the community of southern Dallas through building stronger families and economic development. He also leads the African American Pastors Coalition, a fellowship of over sixty churches committed to serving and addressing key needs in the Dallas community. His past board service includes the Dallas Mayor’s Taskforce Against Domestic Violence, Dallas Habitat for Humanity, Dallas ISD Education Foundation, and Mentoring Brother to Brother. He is also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
R.H. Boyd Publishing Corporation
LaDonna Boyd is the President/CEO of the R.H. Boyd Publishing Corporation, which was founded by her great-great-grandfather, Dr. Richard Henry Boyd, in 1896. Ms. Boyd is also on the Board of Directors at Citizens Savings Bank and Trust, which was founded by her great-great-grandfather in 1904. She is a graduate of Spelman College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, with a minor in French. She is also a graduate of Tennessee State University, where she earned her MBA with a concentration in Finance. Currently, she is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University, where her studies focus on corporate technology implementation, andragogy (adult learning), women’s studies, and leadership in the Black Church.
